- Our "not zone P-day" went well; items were swapped. missionaries were met and greeted, ping pongs were stricken, and we even got to see missionaries from outside of our zone (there was a mission choir practice going on in Suseong). I even got to see two of my old companions, Elder Nations and Elder Minson. I would name off more missionaries but you wouldn't really know who they are, would you? It's funny how our social circles are so small as missionaries. Bottom line, it was fun.
- We got two new potential investigators! One was a miracle guy from our area book (he met the missionaries 22 years ago). He wants to meet us again and go to church and read the Book of Mormon with us and all that jazz. The other guy was a man who sad he had a lot of religious interest, and then we met him, and then he said he had a lot of religious interest but not a lot of time. Good meeting though.
- I went on exchange to 경산 Gyeongsan again! This time I was with my pal Elder Seol. He's a goober. But we managed to get some work done. We visited and had lunch with this grandma in the Gyeongsan branch, then did a little proselyting, and then our studies, and then had another member visit appointment. We visited 박기호 Park Giho and his family, who is now the Branch President but was my WML when I was in 경산. And they remembered me! It was nice to see their cute little family again after such a long time.
- The next day we had our last district meeting. It consisted of all of our returning missionaries giving their last testimonies. It was so depressing to see them go this whole week. It really has been a privilege to serve with them for so long here in Suseong/Gyeongsan District. I love my district to death and I've been blessed and learned a ton being their DL for the last three transfers. We had a short ping-pong tournament following the meeting, along with some delivery chicken/pizza to lighten the mood.
- We met with our investigator 오준석 Oh Junseok after failing to meet him three weeks straight. We taught him the Restoration at our church, and then showed him the Restoration video. He understood it all and he he truly enjoys meeting with us. We hope to help him understand how important it is next time, as well as what he should do to act on it.
- OTHER RANDOM THINGS: We managed to find time for all four of us to deep clean our house for the transfer. We had an MCM to correlate and plan for the Mini MTC that happened this weekend for our Daegu Stake youth. And we were invited to our Military Branch President's home for dinner, President Gustavus. That man is a saint. And that's disregarding the breakfast-for-dinner he fed us. He's super great. Elder Sayer and I felt spiritually recharged after visiting them.
- We met with our investigator 박성호 Park Seongho and we did a lesson with our YSA member 박진영 Park Jinyoung. He showed up late (we were worried he cancelled) and then we read the Book of Mormon and introduced the Plan of Salvation to him. We're hoping to get him to church next week.
- We had a Mini MTC for our Daegu Stake youth! The only part the missionaries had to help with was the proselyting activity, and so all of our Daegu missionaries pitched in, split up in groups and did some stickerboarding with them. They were all super nervous but ended up doing a great job. They had a good time and the next day they were all able to bear their testimonies on what they learned. It was a nice opportunity to be able to be apart of that, those kids are ballers.
- I interviewed the A-team's investigator 이진산 Lee Jinsan, and he was ready to go for baptism! He was the kid who was originally referred to all the Suseong missionaries but ended up just getting taught by A-team. He was baptized right after church on Sunday as the closing to the Mini MTC. His mother and little sister are looking into getting baptized now as well.
- Our number one investigator 김민식 Kim Minshik came to church again!! He's doing super well. We realized that we need to start figuring out a way to get him integrated into the ward a little better because he's such a good guy. We introduced the Plan of Salvation to him and he likes the idea that we're all God's children. We call him bro now and he loves it haha
AND NOW THE TRANSFER NEWS
I'm staying. B-team is closing down and I'm moving the B-team investigators over to A-team with Elder Staker. So now I'm in the A-team and we're also the Zone Leaders. Not sure what that means yet but it sounds scary. Also our Sisters got whitewashed out (because they are both heading home) but we're NOT getting replacements. So we have the busiest area in the mission all to ourselves. B-team investigators, A-team investigators, Sister investigators, all the members (in the two congregations). We're a little overwhelmed right now to say the least...
But that's all the time I've got! Tune in next week to see how wrecked we get~
