PDAY GOT WRECKED (5 MINUTES AND COUNTING)

HELLO EVERYONE,

Stuff happened this week that I'll have to describe next week. Some troubles arose in the office and our P-day turned into an actual preparation day. But hey me and Elder Reiley got our Korean driver's license among all of the errands that arose today so that's cool. Catch you next week~

I was told to go to Jeju Island

BACKGROUND:

Recently the self-reliance organization part of our church has come out with a worldwide English program for areas that teach English called EnglishConnect. The first I heard about this was my first day serving here in the HQ and shortly afterwards, a representative came and gave training on what it is to all of mission leaders. And they were to take that training and present it to all the districts in the mission. And so they did. But there was one problem: there's no way to give the training to the missionaries in Jeju Island. You know what that means?

President Jeong told us to go over there from Thursday morning until Saturday morning to go on exchange with the zone leaders, give the training, attend some Helping Hands concert, and then have a soccer match with an Area Seventy (Elder Choi Yunhwan, second time we saw him in a week haha).

SO WE WENT TO JEJU~~~

That's pretty much the only exciting thing that happened this week.

The exchange was interesting though because both Elder Kim and I went so we were on simultaneous exchanges with the zone leaders in Seogwipo (the other side of Jeju Island) in the same house. And then the next night, due to the early morning soccer we fit us, the zone leaders, and the Jeju Elders in another house. And these houses are TINY. I got real close with some elders in those two nights. But although they were odd circumstances we managed to get some missionary work done as always. We were crazy busy over there due to a lot of travel and meetings and such but every time we went traveled we found a really nice person to talk to that gave us their contact information. We went ahead and referred them to the Jeju Elders. Goes to show that miracles will come to those that diligently seek them, even in times when they don't seem possible~

ALRIGHT, OTHER STUFF:

-We squeezed in some proselyting time earlier this week but we weren't able to find any new people to teach. We're hoping that we don't get told to go to any islands this week so we can spend some good time in our area finding and meeting people.

-We met with our friend 박진제 Park Jinje again and he came to all three hours of church this week! We're hoping that we'll be able to meet him more often, help him come to at least sacrament meeting every week, and find out what day would be good for him to get baptized.

AND PROBABLY MORE~~~~

That's all I have for this week! Thanks for always reading and writing!

-Elder Metcalf
